“Teresa Davis…has helped Orland High School revamp and organize its curriculum around the new Common Core standards. She has taken our curriculum and turned it into digital units suitable for distance learning. In the age of COVID-19 and distance learning, this has been incredibly helpful. Due to her diligence and tech ability, she has made all our lives a little easier.”

Grant Management Bootcamp
The Client:
MyFEDTrainer.com provides expert training and resources for managing Federal Grants. The company recently rebranded and is in the process of updating all of its training resources; both in-person and remote learning.
The Challenge:
The previous iteration of these materials was recorded from a live presentation. Some version was also presented via webinar, but the company had not yet done a dedicated conversion to asynchronous eLearning.
The Project:
This project was to convert training materials from previous recordings into asynchronous eLearning materials. Materials needed to be updated to align with new branding guidelines as well as new guidance from the Federal Government. Additionally, course length and materials needed to comply with certification and accreditation guidelines.
The Production Materials:
Visual assets were created in Canva, Doodly, and via screencast. Video elements were compiled and edited in Camtasia with an AI voiceover provided by Techsmith Audiate. Videos were then compiled and uploaded into Learnworlds LMS by an additional contractor.
Intro to Valves - Proof of Concept
The Client:
The American Supply Association (ASA) is the industry’s national trade association representing distributors and their manufacturers and manufacturer representative agencies serving the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling-Piping (PHCP) and Industrial Pipe-Valve-Fitting (PVF) channel.
The Challenge:
ASA wanted to update its current training series from several multi-hour courses in Articulate Storyline to smaller micro-learning modules in Articulate Rise. Feedback from consumers reported that the previous version was too cumbersome to digest in a working environment, so the company took the advantage to revamp as well as update the training.
The Project:
We were given complete access to the original module information, additional transcripts, and training resources. We then reorganized the existing content to fit into two mini-lessons within the module. ASA provided a sample module as a template for the new look but encouraged additional updates as far as the design. We then took the project through development and delivered a SCORM file with the complete module to the client. The completed project included text, interactive images, sorting, drag-and-drop, quiz elements, and single-chain scenarios.
The Production Materials:
This project was created using the Articulate 360 Design Suite. Interactive drag-and-drop interactions were created in Articulate Storyline while the rest of the module used Articulate Rise. Assets were either provided by the client or taken from the Articulate Asset Library. AI voiceover for accessibility was created in TechSmith Audiate and imported to Rise. PDF deliverables were created using the Microsoft Office Suite.
IATSE 891 Department Orientation Series
The Client:
IATSE Local 891 is a film worker’s union representing over 10,000 artists and technicians who work in the film and television production industry in British Columbia, Canada. They support most genres of production at all budget levels and have made some of the biggest feature films and some of the longest-running television series ever screened. Their award-winning members are internationally renowned for their skills and expertise.
The Challenge:
New members and permittees to the union aren’t necessarily familiar with how IATSE productions and the departments are run. They need training and onboarding materials to learn the procedures and avoid common mistakes that may make them appear to be unprofessional on set.
The Project:
For this project, we were contracted through MK Way join the project mid-process. The previously created materials were incomplete and needed revising to meet client needs and expectations. We worked with a larger team to consult with SMEs and create a universal course plan for the series as well as specific course and block template plans for upcoming courses.
The Production Materials:
The finished deliverables were created by another contractor in Articulate Rise 360 and Vyond.
The Healthy Deviant - SPEC Project
The Client:
The Healthy Deviant is the brand of premier health journalist, Pilar Gerasimo. Her research on healthy living has been compiled in a book, The Healthy Deviant, and expanded into several health and wellness programs including The Healthy Deviant Adventure Program. Her work can be found at www.healthydeviant.com.
The Challenge:
The book has a number of comprehensive instructions and ideas for healthy living, however, some people are averse to digesting that much information from a book. Some authors address this challenge by using audiobooks, but Ms. Gerasimo’s work has a number of elements that are visual and interactive. The challenge is to create an alternative informational format that is engaging and interactive and breaks the information into small, easily consumable pieces.
The Project:
For this project, we converted parts one and three of the book into a comprehensive eLearning Course comprised of four modules and eighteen lessons. Within the lessons are a number of interactive elements from videos, to embedded elements, to downloads. The text was broken up into smaller segments interspersed with images and interactive elements such as matching, sorting, interactive images, quiz elements, and more.
The Production Materials:
This project was created using the Articulate 360 Design Suite. Embedded videos were created in Camtasia and Audiate with assets from the book, The Healthy Deviant, TechSmith Assets, Unsplash, and Canva. PDF downloadables were created using the Microsoft Office Suite.
